Linking the Gediya Pax A920 payment device with the RETM system allows you to process payments quickly and effortlessly via the electronic payment terminal. Payments are automatically posted, facilitating sales operations and speeding up the checkout experience for customers.
Steps to Connect
First: Configure the “Mada” Device Settings
- Ensure the device is connected to the local network via Wi‑Fi.
- Open the “Mada” app on the payment device, then select Merchant Operations.
- Enter the merchant password (a 1–6 digit code).
- In the Merchant Operations menu, tap Technician Menu and re-enter the merchant password.
- Tap Multi Connection Enable/Disable, then select Yes in the pop‑up. After confirming, it should display:
CURRENT STATUS: ENABLED. - Press the back arrow (top‑left), then select Activate Menu, entering the merchant password again.
- In the App Mode screen, enable the second option: ECR Mode.
- Navigate back (arrow top‑left), then swipe right‑to‑left to return to the Merchant Operations menu.
- Enter the merchant password, then select Device Info.
- To find the device’s IP address, go to Device Info, then System Files, and tap Print. The printed info will include the IP address in the format 192.168.X.X, which you will enter into the cashier/register app to complete setup.
- Tap Cancel, then press the top‑left arrow twice to return to the Mada app’s main screen.
Second: Set Up the Mada Payment Method
- Log in to the system administrator dashboard.
- Go to Settings from the info panel.
- Under Payment Methods, select Mada.
- Enable the option to Automatically Post Amount to Payment Device, then click Edit.
Third: Connect the Mada Device to the Cashier App
- Open the cashier app “RETM POS.”
- Tap Sync, then choose Sync All Data.
- Go to Settings, then select Add Device.
- Tap Add Payment Device, then choose Pax A920.
- Enter the previously printed IP address of the Mada device.
- Tap Test Connection. A confirmation message should appear: “Connection Successful”. Save your changes.
Fourth: Test a Payment via the Payment Device
- In the cashier app, go to the Sales Interface.
- Add an item to the order, then tap Pay.
- Select the order type (e.g., “Delivery”).
- Choose Mada payment, then select Post to Mada Device.
- The order will be sent to the payment terminal for completion.
