Opening the Cash Register
The “Open Cash Register” feature in the cashier app is used to record the start of a cash-working day. You enter the cash amount available in the drawer at the beginning of the shift. This step is important to ensure accurate tracking of daily financial transactions at the point of sale.
Steps to Open the Cash Register
- In the cashier app’s main interface, tap Opening Register.
- A new window will appear to record the cash register details.
- Tap the amount field to enter the starting cash amount in the drawer at the beginning of the shift. Once finished, tap Edit.
- By tapping Notes, you can add an optional note with extra details if needed.
- Once complete, tap Opening Register to finalize the process.
